Donald Francis Cannon, 84, of Goff, KS passed away January 8, 2013 at his home. He was born March 31, 1928 in Wetmore, KS the son of Dave and Norma (Hafeley) Cannon.

Donald lived most of his life in the Goff and Wetmore communities. He worked many years for John Deere Tractor in Holton. He delivered and assembled the tractors for customers.

Donald married Viola Maxine Shuler on April 9, 1950 in Goff. She survives of the home. He is also survived by 2 sons, Raymond Cannon (Nancy) of Holton, KS and Carl Cannon (Cathy) of Goff, KS; a daughter, Darlene Cannon of Goff, KS; a sister, Mary Ann Kirk of Goff; 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Cannon in 1972, a son Calvin Cannon in 2008, a daughter, Donna Johnsen in 2011, a sister, Velma Cannon in 2001 and a brother, Bud Cannon in 2010.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Goff. The family will greet friends Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Donald Cannon memorial fund and may be left in care of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
