DOLORES McKINSEY

ONAGA- Dolores McKinsey, 81, of Onaga, KS passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Onaga Community Hospital. She was born December 13, 1928 in Soldier, KS the daughter of John W. and Aurella O. Gilliland McClacherty.
Dolores grew up in Soldier and attended Soldier High School. She lived in Havensville before moving to Onaga in 1962. Dolores had worked as a medical secretary for the Onaga Clinic for 25 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Onaga.
She was married to Vern O. McKinsey on June 26, 1945 in Holton, KS. He survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Karen Kocher (John) and her son, Alan McKinsey (Janet) all of Onaga, KS; her brother, Bob McClacherty of Odessa, TX; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Albert McClacherty.
The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in the Soldier Cemetery at a later date.
