Dolores "D.J." Hawley, 82, of Wetmore, KS passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, KS. She was born June 20, 1942 in Oakland, CA, the daughter of Francisco and Josefina (Barrera) Jimenez.

D.J. graduated from Oakland Tech High School in 1960. She worked for Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) for 12 years in San Francisco, CA. D.J. retired in 2001 after 36 years from Sears. She worked in dispatch, and made sure the trucks were loaded accurately.

She married Russell Gene Hawley on August 21, 1989 in Minden, NV. They celebrated over 35 years of marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Russell of the home, a sister-in-law, Violet Hintzman (David) of Menomonie, WI and many nieces and nephews.

D.J. was preceded in death by her parents, Franciso and Josefina Jimenez; 6 sisters, and 2 brothers.
