Obituary

HOLTON- Deloris Irene Reaser, 88, of Holton, KS, passed away December 6, 2009 at Medicalodges Jackson County in Holton. She was born July 28, 1921, in Arkansas City, KS the daughter of Edward L. and Lula Ferrell Schmidt.
She graduated from Topeka High School in 1940, attended Strickler's Business School and later graduated from Clark's Business School. After college she worked for Denison State Bank, retiring after 21 years. She then was an office manager for Zirger Engineering.
Mrs. Reaser was a former member of the Denison Union Church and a former member of O.E.S. #488 in Denison. She was a member of Evangel United Methodist Church, Optimistic E.H.U., V.F.W. Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Holton Hospital Auxiliary, Holton Business Women, a member of O.E.S. #189 in Hoyt and Holton Area Christian Seniors. She enjoyed traveling, organizing bus trips and she had a love of music throughout her lifetime.
She married Kenneth Reaser on October 10, 1942 in Holton. He passed away April 7, 1986. Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Herbers (Ralph) of Holton; three grandchildren, Jeff Herbers, Denise Peters (David) and Doug Herbers and one great grandson, Dalton Lee Peters.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Denison Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:30 – 7:30p.m. Tuesday evening. Memorials may be given to the Jackson County Seniors Citizens Center or Denison Cemetery c/o Mercer Funeral Home P.O.
