DEBORAH SAYERS PHILLIPS

Deborah Sayers Phillips, 51, Valley Falls, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the home of her parents in Valley Falls.
She was born on Sept. 18, 1956, at Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Walter J. and Lucille I. Moore Sayers. She attended Washington High School in Kansas City, KS.
Debbie had worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant and a Certified Medical Assistant at Medicalodge in Leavenworth. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Grahem-Herbers Post 3084, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She married Brian Phillips on July 3, 1999, at Valley Falls. She was preceded in death by two nephews, Junior and Danny Sasse.
Survivors include her husband, Brian, Valley Falls; two stepchildren, Nathan Phillips and Vanessa Phillips, both of Twenty-nine Palms, CA; her parents, Walter and Lucy Sayers, Valley Falls; three brothers, Larry Sasse, Waco, TX, Daniel (Sheri) VanHoozier and Joe (Angie) Sayers, all of Valley Falls; two sisters, Victoria (Dave) Jones, Leavenworth, and Paula (Roger) Dill, Lansing; nine nephews, eleven nieces, ten great nephews and ten great nieces.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2008, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Burial will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, 810 Broadway, Valley Falls, KS 66088.
