Deanna R. "Dee" Winters (White) passed away on July 10, 2020 in Topeka, KS at the age of 74 from complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, (ALS).

Dee is survived by her brother's, Glenn (Donna) White of Topeka, KS, and Gregg (Doris)White of Perry, KS; her son, Steven Winters of Topeka, KS; her daughter, Nicole Williams of Tucson, AZ; and her 4 grandsons, Blayne Blevins, Eric Winters, Dustin Winters & Logan Williams.

Dee was born on October 6, 1946 in Holton, KS, to Raymond & Violet Hopewell White. She graduated from Topeka West High and Topeka Technical College in 1964. She lived in Topeka, KS much of her life, and enjoyed family gatherings, hanging out with her friends and a good book.

Dee worked for the State of Kansas in various public service agencies for much of her working career up to her retirement with KPERS in 2014. She worked 11 years up to the closure at Topeka State Hospital as a supervisor in direct services and later becoming a research and developer for staff education, provided CPR training and supervised students in clinical rotation.

Dee brought a smile & a wealth of knowledge wherever she went. She will be deeply missed.

Memorial Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Holton Cemetery. Please respect social distancing recommendations.
