David Karl Thompson, 53, of Lawrence, KS passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was born July 16, 1961 in Topeka, the son of Ed and Carol (Biester) Thompson.

David graduated from Seaman High School. He had lived for 6 years at Community Living Opportunities in Lawrence. David formerly resided at Sheltered Living in Topeka and Arkansas Support Network in Springdale, AR.

David is survived by his parents, Ed and Carol Thompson of Lawrence; 2 sisters, Linda and Joyce Thompson both of Lawrence and a nephew, Aaron Boos of Lawrence.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private family burial will be in the Bucks Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will have a Celebration of Life from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Kanwaka Hall, 776 Hwy 40, Lawrence, KS.
