David D. (Kitchkommie) Lake, 79, of Mayetta, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Encel Health in Topeka, KS, the son of Francis Kitchkommie and Minnie Puckee.

David graduated from Topeka High School and had some college in Aberdeen, SD. David was of the Catholic faith as a child.

He worked many years as a laborer and fork lift driver. He was truly a hard worked and "Jack of all trades".  David was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.

Survivor include his daughter, Kimberly K. Kitchkommie of Mayetta, KS; 3 sons, David Kitchkommie of Topeka, KS, Dean Loveswar of Mandan, ND and Kevin Lake (Heather) of Topeka, KS; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters, Deanna Muniz and Christina Fitzherbert and numerous sisters and brothers.

Family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2024 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. following the visitation at Shipshee Cemetery.
