David S. Eaton, Sr. 63, Valley Falls, died Sunday, March 13, 2016, at his home.

He was born May 24, 1952, at Kansas City, KS, the son of Floyd Franklin and Mary M. Durham Eaton I. He graduated from Piper High School in Kansas City, KS.

David was a self-employed cement finisher. He was a member of the Valley Falls Christian Church.

He married Sheila Jeffries, Dec. 9, 1972, at Basehor. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Jerry Eaton.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila, of the home; four sons, David S. Eaton, Jr., Floyd F. Eaton II, Angelo (Betsy Ross) Eaton, and Joshua (Chelsea) Eaton, all of Valley Falls; two daughters, Misty (Jason Sears) Eaton and Sheena (David Branam) Eaton, all of Valley Falls; his parents, Floyd and Mary Eaton I, Macon, MO; a brother, Frank Eaton, and a sister, Shirley Dick, both of Macon, MO; and 11 grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at the Winchester-Wise Cemetery at Winchester.
