David "Dave" E. Gibeson, 63, of Holton, KS passed away August 2, 2013 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 31, 1950 in Topeka, the son of Evert L. and Dorothy L. (Morris) Gibeson.

Dave graduated from Denison High School in 1968. He worked at Holton Cemetery, Merry Manor, Alamo Group and various construction jobs in and around Holton area. He also worked at Hallmark Cards and Skinner Nursery in Topeka.

Survivors include a very special friend, Jeanne Burnett of the home; a son, Shane Burnett of Holton; 2 sisters, Cheryl Raymond of Vermont and Carol Gibeson of Holton; a brother, Leslie Gibeson of Topeka and 3 grandchildren, Damien, Kelaya and Dragon.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alan Gibeson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
