DARYL V. GORDON

Daryl V. Gordon, 77, Valley Falls, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at his home.
He was born Jan. 29, 1931, at Ozawkie, the son of Eldon A. and Nona Montgomery Gordon. He graduated from the Valley Falls High School and had served in the US Air Force.
He was a member of the Valley Falls United Methodist Church and a former member of the Valley Falls Lions Club. He had retired from the US Postal Service and had worked at the Materials Distribution Center in Topeka.
He married Delores A. Zimmerman on June 19, 1953, at Valley Falls. She died on April 12, 1994. He married Mary Lenes on Dec. 7, 1997, at Rusk, TX. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Norman Dean Gordon.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Gordon, two sons, John E. Gordon and Philip D. Gordon, all of Valley Falls; step children, Jeff Lenes, Little Elm, TX, and Kelly Powers, Jacksonville, TX; a brother, Donald Gordon; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the Valley Falls United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Friday at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.
