Darryl Springer, 73, Winchester, formerly of Lawrence, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at the FW Huston Senior Living Center at Winchester.
He was born on July 23, 1939, at Middletown, NY, the son of Foster and Patricia Hoyt Springer.
Darryl had worked as a waiter and a cook. He married Deb McClaren. They later divorced.
Survivors include a brother, Bob Springer, Rockledge, FL; and four sisters, Doris Cope, Selden, NY, Trudy Springer, Olympia, WA, Rebel Webster, Canyon Lake, TX, and Marcia Booker, LaFarge, WI.
Darryl donated his body to the University of Kansas Medical Center. A gathering of friends to celebrate his life will be at a later date. Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls is in charge of arrangements.
