NETAWAKA- Darrell Wayne Davis, 45, of Netawaka, KS passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. He was born May 30, 1966 in Onaga, KS, the son of Francis A. and Betty Elliott Davis.
Darrell graduated from Wetmore High School in 1984 and from Vo-Tech in Salina. He had lived all his life in the Netawaka and Wetmore communities. Darrell had worked for Foster Ford in Holton and was currently employed by Goodyear in Topeka where he had worked the past 15 years. He was a member of the Wetmore Bible Church and also attended Northridge Church in Sabetha. He was also a member of United Steel Workers Local #307.
Darrell was married to Tamera "Tami" Lee Mullins on October 20, 1990 in Wetmore. Tami and their son, Randal Davis, both survive of the home. He is also survived by his parents, Francis and Betty Davis of Netawaka, KS; his brothers, Jerry Davis (Pam) of Oneida, KS, Bruce Davis of Bancroft, KS, Bob Davis of Netawaka, KS, Bill Davis (Bridget) of Wetmore, KS and Harold Davis of Meade, KS. Darrell was preceded in death by his son, Corey Allen Davis on February 2, 2009.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in Ontario Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
