Cristy L. Mick, 48, of Holton passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.
She was born May 3, 1966 in Huron, South Dakota the daughter of Lawrence and Dolly (Caffee) Hickman. She graduated from Holton High School and later attended Vo-Tech School for Data Entry. She had worked at EDS Federal for 8 years and Dr. Seeley's office as a receptionist for 4 years before retiring due to disability. On August 30, 1984, Cristy married Tim Mick in Holton, he survives of the home.
Other survivors include: her dad, Lawrence Caffee, of Wessington, South Dakota; her daughter, Kathy Hurteau of Pleasanton, KS; her sons, Charlie Mick (Kristi) of Arrington, KS and Jordan Mick of the home; her sister, Kathy Richards (Ernie) of Georgia; and her four grandchildren, Nicole, Trevor and Nathan Hurteau and Ean Winsor. She was preceded in death by her mother and her step father Charles Hickman.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. The family will greet friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Cristy MIck Memorial Fund, which will be established at a later date.
