NETAWAKA- Corey Allen Davis, 16, of Netawaka, KS died Monday, February 2, 2009 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born September 8, 1992 in Manhattan, KS the son of Darrell Wayne and Tamera Lee Mullins Davis.
Corey was a sophomore at Wetmore High School. He had milked cows at the Arnie and Marcia Robertson farm near Netawaka and helped with mechanic work at his grandpa's shop in Bancroft. Corey also cut and sold firewood and loved hunting and fishing. He attended the Wetmore Bible Church.
Survivors include his parents, Darrell and Tami Davis of Netawaka, KS; his brother, Randal Davis of the home; his grandparents, Francis and Betty Davis and Everett and Fredericka Mullins all of Netawaka, KS; his great-grandmother, Beulah Drews of Holton, KS and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in Ontario Cemetery north of Circleville, KS. The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Wetmore High School c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
