Soldier- Connie Jo Peterson, 52, of Soldier, KS passed away March 7, 2010 at her home. She was born March 15, 1957 in Topeka the daughter of James Edward and Twila Pauline Clifton Taylor.
She was a lifelong member of the Jackson County community. She graduated from Holton High School in 1975. For over 16 years she was manager and later co-owner of Title Abstract in Holton. She had worked for Jackson County Title and Abstract and as a dispatcher for Holton Police Dept. She was also currently serving as President of the Buck's Grove Cemetery Assoc.
Connie married Bryant Peterson on June 21, 1975 at Buck's Grove. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, Twila Taylor of Holton; two sons, Zach Peterson of Topeka and Kaleb Peterson of the home; a daughter, Jessica Peterson of Manhattan; two brothers, Dan Taylor (Donnie) of Hoyt and Steve Taylor (Shelley) of Auburn, KS; a brother-in-law, Bill Hoppes and a grandson, Karson Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Taylor in 2007 and a sister, Cheryl Hoppes in 2004.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
