WETMORE- Clyde E. Sourk, 97, of Wetmore, KS passed away January 7, 2010 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. He was born August 28, 1912 in Goff, KS the son of Chester and Grace Porter Sourk.
He was a lifelong member of the Wetmore and Goff communities. He graduated from Goff High School in 1930. Clyde was a farmer and stockman his entire life. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member and past commander of the Goff American Legion.
Clyde married Helen M. Frederickson on February 4, 1961 in Seneca. She preceded him in death on February 6, 2008.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry King (Sherla) of Wichita, KS, Lynn King (Sue) of Manhattan, KS and Merlin King (Connie) of Wetmore, KS; a sister, Opal Pittenger of Holton, KS; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery (at Goff, KS).
