HOYT- Clarence Lynn, 92, of Hoyt, KS passed away March 6, 2011 at Holton Hospital. He was born January 26, 1919 in Berryton, KS the son of Walker and Edith Bundy Lynn.
Clarence had lived in the Hoyt community since 1960 and had also lived in Topeka and Carbondale. He was an independent over the road truck driver until 1966, was a farmer since 1960 and owned and operated Lynn's Fertilizer from 1967 – 2005.
He married Maybelle Gifford on September 23, 1940 in Oskaloosa. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2000. He was also preceded in death by a son Greg Curtis Lynn in 1999.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharryl Lynn Cochran of Holton; two sons, Randy Joe Lynn of Texas and Mitchell Clarence Lynn of Ottawa; two sisters, Virginia Langley (Earl) of Pauline and Jenny Tyson of Virginia; three grandsons, Clarence, Mike and Patrick Cochran; a granddaughter, Tracie Tonasket and many great and great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in the Lynn Creek Cemetery (in Berryton).
