Clarence A. "Jay" Nott, Jr., 63, of Wetmore, KS passed away July 10, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident near Atchison, KS. He was born August 15, 1952 in Maple Hill, KS the son of Clarence A. and Isla Winona (Bottom) Nott.

Jay graduated from Wetmore High School. He proudly served in the Army National Guard. He was a former member of the Wetmore American Legion.

Jay worked for Derby filling station; he also worked for Pizza Hut as manager and later became area supervisor for 16 locations. Before retirement he worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas.

Survivors include 5 sisters, Lois Nissen of Wetmore, Rose Honeyman of Topeka, Sandra Nott of Holton, Karen Coffman of Milford and Thelma Brown of Holton; a brother, Kenneth Nott of Holton and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Florene May Nott and Betty Christian; 2 brothers, Claude Nott and Tommie Nott; 2 nieces, Tina Nissen and Edwina Nott-Collins and 3 nephews, Shawn Coffman, Kirk Nott and Wayne Nott.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Wetmore Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Heart of Jackson Humane Society c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
