Christine Louise "Chris" Hegemann, 62, of Hoyt, KS, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, unexpectedly at her home. She was born December 21, 1962 at Scott Air Force Base near Belleville, IL, the daughter of Robert H. "Sarge" and Jacque L. (Roediger) Hegemann.

Chris graduated from Royal Valley High School in 1981. She worked in the Medical Records Dept. for the VA Hospital in Topeka for many years.

Survivors include her mother, Jacque Hegemann of Hoyt, KS; daughter, Cassidy N. Howland of Lawrence, KS and 3 brothers, Steve Hegemann (Linda) and David Hegemann (Penny) both of Mayetta, KS and Joe Hegemann (Carol) of Hoyt, KS.

Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Hoyt United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at the Mayetta Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
