MAYETTA- Chase William Miller, 18, of Mayetta, KS passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident south of Holton. He was born November 21, 1991 in Marysville, KS the son of Bill and Delaina Shockey Miller.
Chase graduated from Royal Valley High School and Washburn Technical School this year. He was currently a student at Washburn and was planning on attending North Central Kansas School of Culinary Arts in the fall. He was a member of the Mayetta United Methodist Church and the Mayetta Mustangs 4-H Club. He liked to play golf, fish and enjoyed collecting frogs, bugs and fish.
Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Kayla M. Ribelin and her husband, Scott of Frontenac, KS and Karlie J. Miller of the home; a brother, Caliber T. Miller of the home and a grandfather, William C. Shockey, Sr. of Goff.
He was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, Audrey Shockey and paternal grandparents, Patricia and William H. Miller, Sr.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Memorials may be given to the Chase Miller Memorial Fund.
