CHARLES DELMAR TUCKING SR.
Charles Delmar Tucking SR. 92, Valley Falls, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at the Holton Community Hospital.
Mr. Tucking farmed west of Valley Falls and was a delivery driver for Whelans Lumber Co. in Topeka for 26 years.
He was born June 12, 1914, east of Valley Falls near Boyle's Station, the son of Charles William and Leuella May Marshall Tucking. He married Freda Marie Johnston in 1938 at Topeka. She died on July 6, 2006. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, George William Tucking and Johnnie Edward Tucking and a great granddaughter, Jamie Turner.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Delmar Tucking JR, Topeka, and Gary F. Tucking, Valley Falls; four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
A graveside memorial service will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, 810 Broadway, Valley Falls, KS 66088.
