Charles A. Farley, 58, of Hiawatha went missing in April 2011 and was found in December 2011 after an extensive statewide and connecting states search. He was positively identified December 11, 2012 in Longview, Washington.
Charles, also known as "Chuck" or "Charley" was born June 2, 1954 in Onaga, Kansas the son of Wilbur and Joyce (Coverdale) Farley. After graduating from Centralia High School he enlisted with the United States Army and proudly served his country for four years. After his discharge Chuck went to work with SKF/ formerly CR Industries in Seneca and worked there for over thirty years. Charles married Sandra Tate. The couple later divorced.
His survivors include: his step-children, Sheila, Brian and Harold; his sisters, Rosemary Junod and her husband Walter of Soldier, KS, Roberta Morrison and her husband John of Baileyville, KS and Rosalie Cecil of Holton, KS and his brother, Carl Farley of Soldier, KS.
Graveside memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. January 18th, 2013 in Corning Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Charles Farley memorial fund and may be left in care of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton 66436.
