Charlcie "Mae" Stanbarger, 80, of Holton, died Thursday, February 01, 2007 at Medicalodges Jackson County. She was born May 14, 1926 in Soldier, KS the daughter of Charlie A. and Rachel Albin Myers.
Mae lived most of her life in Jackson County. She worked for Slimaker Dress Factory in Holton from 1959 to 1969. She was a member of the Wetmore American Legion Auxiliary.
She was married to Ivan Stanbarger on February 24, 1970 in Horton, KS. He died May 8, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her son, Charles Elliott, her daughter, Wilma Lee Elliott, 2 sisters, Dolly Myers and Clara Zirger, 8 brothers; Richard, Don, Charles, Ralph, Robert, Arthur, Clarence, and Carl Myers and her grandson, Alan Elliott.
Survivors include her daughters; Donna Baxter of Mayetta, KS, Dianna Ringwald of Mesa, AZ and Darlene Coppola of Mesa, AZ, her son, Roy Elliott of Horton, 3 step-sons, Laurence Stansbarger of Albert Lea, MN, John Stanbarger of Petoskey, MI, Frank Stanbarger of Kansas City, KS, 2 step-daughters, Lillie Parker of Dallas, TX, Mary Miller of St. Joseph, MO, her sisters; Ellen Wood of Paola, KS and Agnes Hedrick of Holton, KS, 31 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in Ontario Cemetery.
