Cecil Ray Shove, 73, of Kansas City, MO, died at his home. He was born March 25, 1933 in Havensville, KS. He was the son of Henry Wade and Janie May Nicholas Shove.
Cecil graduated from Havensville High School and Kansas State University. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity at Kansas State. He had served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1957. He had retired from Manna Pro Corporation formerly Carnation Company & Albers Milling in Kansas City, KS, where he was a Production/Quality Control Supervisor.
He is survived by brothers, Noel D. Shove and his wife, Judith of Boulder, CO, and Henry L. Shove of Milford, CT; sister-in-law, Myrtle Shove of Urbana, IL; nephews, Gregory A. Shove of Racine, WI, Kent E. Shove of Urbana, IL, and Timothy N. Shove of Lafayette, CO; niece, Myrene Brown of Zionsville, IN. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gene C. Shove.
Funeral services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Buck's Grove Cemetery southeast of Havensville. Memorials may be given to Buck's Grove Church in c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
