MAYETTA- Carolyn Sue Hittle, 62, of Mayetta, KS died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at her home. She was born March 8, 1945 in California, the daughter of Arnold and Florence Wathal Hermann. She worked in data entry at Electronic Data System and later at Harrah's.
She was married to Virgil Dale Hittle on January 13, 1966 in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, Florence Hermann of Topeka, KS; her daughters, Sheri Dale Sharp of Topeka, KS and Tina Marie Casura and husband Paul of Deltona, FL; her son, William Cody Hittle and wife Barbara of Mayetta, KS; her sister, Linda of Wichita, KS; her brother, Ronald Hermann of Sprinfield, MO; grandchildren, Sheva Paydari, Cheyenne and Dakota Hittle, Kristina, Heidi, Kay, Austin and Cody Casura. She was preceded in death by her son, Bernard Edward Hittle III in 1990.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS. She will lie in state at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Cremation will follow the services and inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Goff, KS at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Carolyn Hittle Memorial Fund to be designated by the family c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
