Carolyn Ruth Bell, 81, of Holton, KS, passed away, Monday, November 15, 2021 at Medicalodge Jackson County. She was born October 7, 1940 in Sabetha, KS, the daughter of Walter and Alice (Derr) Fund.

Carolyn graduated from Goff High School in 1958. She worked for Capper Publications in Topeka, Kansas State Bank in Holton and along side her husband, Gary, at Bell Graphics in Holton.

She was a member of Circleville Christian Church, Sunshine Club, Holton Business Women and Pilots Club.

Carolyn married Gary Lee Bell on July 9, 1960 in Goff, KS. They celebrated over 61 years of marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Gary of the home; daughter, Lori Mellenbruch (Earl) of Soldier, KS; son, Darren Bell (Arthur Gilkison) of Denver, CO; sister, Mary Fund (Ed Reznicek) of Goff, KS; brother, Arlie G. Fund of Delia, KS; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Alice Fund; son, Paul Bell and brother, Roger Fund.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Circleville Christian Church. Carolyn will lie in state at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton on Wednesday and the family will meet friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday evening. Interment will be in Barnes Cemetery at a later date.
