Obituary

Carole R. Hainline, 75, of Holton, KS passed away July 18, 2013 at Holton Community Hospital. She was born December 28, 1937 in Holton, the daughter of Paul and Opal (Bailey) Martin.

Carole graduated from Mayetta High School in 1955. She owned and operated "Yesterdays" antique store and managed P.J.'s Restaurant both in Holton.

She married Orrien Duane Hainline on January 23, 1955. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Geneva Plantz and Darlene Richison; 2 brothers, Paul Martin, Jr. and Jerry Martin and a step-daughter, Cynthia Jane Wingender.

Survivors include her longtime friend, Phil Wingender, Sr. of Holton, KS; 2 daughters, Kandy Alters (Jim) of Circleville, KS and Lori Jacobs (Bob) of Holton, KS; a son, Richard Hainline (Merry) of Holton, KS; a step-daughter, Barbara Parker (Ed) of Pawnee City, NE; 2 step-sons, Phillip Wingender, Jr. (Crystal) of Whiting, KS and Michael Wingender (Jennifer) of Netawaka, KS; a sister, Patsy Miller of Holton, KS; 2 brothers, Monty Martin (Mary) of Mobile, AL and Alan Martin (Connie) of Holton, KS; 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Hoyt Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Monday evening. Memorials may be given to the Cancer Research @ KSU c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
