Netawaka-Carol Joy Williamson, 73, of Netawaka, died Sunday, May 6, 2007 at the Onaga Community Hospital. She was born July 26, 1933 in Pittsburg, KS, the daughter of George and Eunice Mitchell Clark.
She attended Turner High School in Kansas City, KS. She had been a member of the Netawaka community for over 30 years and previously lived in the Basehor and Kansas City areas. She was a member of the Netawaka Methodist Church, a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton, past president of the Methodist Women's Club, and a member of Rainbow Girls Club in Bonner Springs.
She married Robert L. Williamson on June 11, 1950 in Muncie, KS. He survives. Other survivors include her children Patricia Sorensen of Holton, KS; Jerry Williamson of Basehor, KS; Nanette Williamson of Holton, KS; Lonnie Williamson of Conifer, CO; a brother Thomas Clark of Edwardsville, KS; grandchildren Carrie Sorensen/Baxter of Holton, KS, Andrew Sorensen of Topeka, KS, Wyatt Williamson of Ottawa, KS, Heath Williamson of Basehor, KS, Lucas Williamson of Basehor, KS, Levi Williamson, Brooks Williamson, Grant Williamson all of Conifer, CO; 2 great grandchildren Drew Baxter and Dane Baxter both of Holton, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother George William Clark and a grandson Sawyer Williamson.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Buster Cemetery (south of Oskaloosa).
