Carol Jean Searles

Carol Jean Searles, 77, of Denison, KS, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026 at her home with family by her side. She was born April 12, 1949 in Winchester, KS, the daughter of Ernest F. and Patricia F. (Pickett) Wichman.

She attended Holton High School. Carol worked many years at Oldham Sausage Plant. In 2016 she retired from Medicalodge Jackson County as a cook.

She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening and camping at Prairie Lake.

Carol married Joe B. Searles on April 28, 1992 in Holton, KS. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Patricia Wichman; sister, Amy Spiker and 3 brothers, Dale, Allen and Verlin Wichman.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Rolin; step-daughter, Angeline Searles of Minnesota; brother, Kevin Wichman (Sandy) of Circleville, KS; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Wichman of Everest, KS and Sue Wichman of Holton, KS; brother-in-law, Jared Spiker; bonus niece, Tara Elliott of Holton, KS; bonus great-niece and nephew, Kayden Elliott and Adalie Minde; her beloved dog, Wishy and many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Carol’s wishes, she will be cremated and a private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Her family appreciates your understanding and support during this time.
