Carol Marie (Humbolt) Keehn, 75, of Holton, KS, passed away, unexpectedly, at her home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was born in Valley Center, Kansas on May 30, 1950, the daughter of Carl D. and Frances (Dennet) Humbolt. Carol attended Valley Center High School. She was a student of Longstreet Art School in Wichita, KS.

Carol moved to Holton in the 80’s and lived in the community until her passing. She was passionate about painting and taking care of the farm where she spent her last years.

Carol married Theodore (Ted) W. Keehn in 1977 in Wichita Falls, TX. Ted preceded her in death on September 11, 2008; after 31 years of marriage.

Carol is survived by her children, Troy Keehn (Kim) of Perry ME, Neil Berens of Haysville, KS, and Stuart Fossey formerly of Mulvane, KS, 4 grandchildren Erin, Hunter, Arden and Adalei, and Ted’s adult children and their children and grandchildren.

Family Graveside Service will be held at the Holton Cemetery Friday, January 16, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS is in charge of the arrangements.
