Carly Suzanne Wright, a 17 year-old senior at Mayde Creek High School in Katy, Texas, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 after a five-month battle with osteosarcoma.

Carly is survived by her parents; Melissa Wright of Houston, Texas; Stacy Wright and wife, Becky, Paige and Nick of Farmington, Arkansas; her brother, Tyler Wright of Arkansas; her paternal grandparents, Ray and Dolores Wright and Uncle Shannon and Robyn Wright, Jaxon, Will and Trey all of Holton.

She was an inspiration to all who helped her through her treatments. She loved hanging out with her family and friends, playing volleyball, listening to music, watching the Rockets and Texans and most of all, she loved to laugh. She had the best day of her life in November when the Make A Wish Foundation granted her a wish to meet the Rockets.

Carly's beautiful smile and sense of humor touched every family member, friend, coach, teacher, doctor, nurse and coworker that was fortunate enough to be a part of her life. Although we have a heavy heart that she is gone, the memories we have of her will keep us smiling until we see her again. We all have a beautiful redheaded Angel watching over us now.
