AUBURN- Cameron Scott Bedford, 28, of Auburn, KS, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023. He was born June 22, 1995 in Topeka, KS, the son of Russel Dean Bedford and Jennifer Michelle Spreer.
Cameron graduated from Perry Lecompton High School in 2013 and attended Wind Turbine Tech School in California. He was on the State and National Registry for Fire and EMT.
He worked for Prairie Band Potawatomi Casino for a few years starting in Emergency Services and finishing as Executive Casino Host. Presently, Cameron was working at Goodyear Tire Company in the wire room.
Along with enjoying his family and daughter, he also enjoyed woodworking, golfing, Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas City Royals.
Cameron married Destanie Desere Martin on April 3, 2021 in Topeka, KS. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his daughter, Aubrielle E. Bedford; mother, Jennifer M. Spreer; brother, Tyler A. Bedford (Brandy); paternal aunt, Lisa and her children, Mallory (Cindy) and Jennifer and aunt, Brenda and her children, Travis and Colton; maternal grandparents, Stan and Debbie Spreer; uncle, Jeff (Michelle) and their children, Jordan and Megan; Bonus parents – AKA in-laws, Shiloh and Michele Burris; father-in-law, Thad Martin; sister-in-law, Briaunna Martin-Burris; brothers-in-law, Trae Martin (Izzy) and their son, Zayden, Nathyn Burris, Aden Burris and Jameson Burris, and numerous extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rusty "Mad Dawg" Bedford; paternal grandparents, Dallas and Phyllis Bedford and uncle, Dennis Bedford.
Memorial Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Aubrielle Bedford Fund c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
