CALVIN DALE CANNON
GOFF- Calvin Dale Cannon, 43, of Goff, KS died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the Sabetha Community Hospital. He was born May 15, 1965 in Axtell, KS, the son of Donald F. and Viola M. Shuler Cannon. He graduated from Wetmore High School in 1983 and lived all of his life in the Goff community.
Calvin worked at Merry Manor Nursing Home in Holton for 10 years. He worked for Henry Brothers Farms in Goff and also for the Holton Cemetery and Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.
He is survived by his parents, Don and Viola Cannon of Goff, KS; his sisters, Darlene Cannon and Gary of Arkansas City, KS and Donna Johnsen and Tim of Goff, KS; his brothers, Raymond Cannon and Nancy of Holton, KS and Carl Cannon and Cathy of Goff, KS. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Cannon in 1972.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the Goff United Methodist Church in Goff, KS. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery at Goff. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorials may be given to the Calvin Cannon Memorial Fund c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
