OZAWKIE- Dr. Bruce Tillery, 62, of Ozawkie, KS, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Midland Care Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 19, 1960 in Topeka, KS, the son of Dr. Fred and Cleo Ann (Dick) Tillery.

Bruce graduated from Valley Falls High School, Kansas State University, and University of Missouri- Kansas City Dental School; earning his Doctorate. He owned and operated Valley Falls Family Dental; retiring in 2022.

He enjoyed taking motorcycle rides with family and friends and going on hunting and fishing trips.  He was a member of Valley Falls Rotary Club.

Bruce married Sally A. Raymond on April 28, 1984; they later divorced. They lovingly welcomed a son, Dylan to this union.

Survivors include his significant other, Lynne Wichman; a son, Dylan Tillery, and his wife Alyssa, Topeka; a sister, Carla Davis, and her husband Dr. John Davis, Georgetown, DE; two brothers, Brad Tillery, and his wife Terry Georgetown, DE; Bryan Tillery, and his wife Angie, Valley Falls; a granddaughter, Reina Tillery and numerous nieces and nephews. As a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, Bruce will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2023 at the Valley Falls United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Valley Falls Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Kearney and Son Construction. Bruce will lie in state on Saturday, March 4 ^th from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls where a guest book will be available.
