HOLTON-Bobby Joe Lewis, 46, of Holton, died Sunday, November 18, 2007. He was born October 30, 1961 in Onaga, KS, the son of Harold and Allie Brandon Lewis.
He had lived in the Holton area most of his life and attended Holton schools. Starting at the age of 8 he was a musician and had continued loving music and playing his guitar throughout his life. He also enjoyed family get-togethers, fish-fries, fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He tinkered with vehicles and hot rods and had loved carpentry work and working with his hands.
Bobby was preceded in death by his mother Allie Lewis and a brother Little Harold.
Survivors include his father and step-mother Harold and Dale Lewis of Holton; a son Matthew Lewis of Topeka; 3 sisters Shirley Stevenson and Linda Bryan both of Duncan, OK, Patsy Lundin of Mayetta, KS; 2 step sisters Sharon and April, 4 step brothers Blaine, Michael, Charlie, Joe and his beloved dog Jack.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Circleville Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Bobby J. Lewis Memorial Fund sent c/o Mercer Funeral Home P.O.
