Betty Maude Stahl, 90, of Holton, KS passed away February 1, 2014 at The Pines in Holton. She was born October 10, 1923 in Omaha, NE the daughter of William H. and Maude (Clark) Moore.

Betty had lived in the Holton community since 1984 and had previously lived in California. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #1367 in Holton, a member of American Ex-P.O.W. Auxiliary and a past member of the First Christian Church.

Betty married Rex Mercer, Jr., they later divorced. She later married James Kimball in 1942 in Los Angeles, CA; he preceded her in death in 1979. She married Albert Wayne Stahl on September 11, 1981 in Topeka, KS; he preceded her in death on January 18, 2010. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Rex Mercer in 2006, William H. Mercer in 2007; a grandson, James L. Mercer and a brother, Charles W. Moore.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Rose Mercer of Antioch, CA; her cousin, Karl Steele of Fall City, NE; 6 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and special friends, Donna and Dale "Gene" Murrow of Denison, KS.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friend one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery.
