Betty Jean (Moody) Kupfersmith, 69, Home, KS, died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at a Lincoln, NE hospital. Betty was born on Sept. 22, 1940, at Holton, the daughter of Albert and Dorothy Conger Moody.
Betty married Frederick "Fred" Kupfersmith, on Feb. 7, 1976, at Home, KS. They farmed north of town.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Moody and her step-mom, Susanna Walters Moody.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Kupfersmith, Home; a son, Doug Ray, Marysville; four daughters, Debbie (Ed) Miller, Marysville, Dorothy (Jerome) Watson, Victorville, CA, Diana (Steve) Shropshire, Cartersville, GA, and Dodie Ray, Manhattan; two brothers, Keith Moody, and George Moody, Topeka; two sisters, Carmelita Riesen, Oketo, KS, and Rosemary Barnaba, N.M.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation is planned. Graveside inurnment will be 2:00 p.m. Monday August 9, 2010 at the Holton Cemetery. The family will meet at the cemetery and greet friends there.
