BUEHLER
MAYETTA- Betty Jane Buehler, 80, of Mayetta, KS, died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Holton Community Hospital. She was born October 6, 1927 in Delia, KS, the daughter of John C. and Bettie Adams Curran.
Betty graduated from Denison High School in 1945 and completed 2 years of school at Washburn University. She had been a school teacher at Grand Prairie Country School. She had also worked for Slimaker Dress Factory and later worked as a bookkeeper for Rural Water District #3 in Holton.
She was married to Eldon L. Buehler on May 6, 1948. Survivors include her husband, Eldon; her sons, Thomas E. Buehler of Mayetta, KS and Richard L. Buehler of Topeka, KS; her daughter, Lisa D. Buehler of Topeka, KS; her brother, John F. Curran of Mayetta, KS. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Robert Curran.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS. Interment will be in Holton Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Assoc. or St. Jude's Children's Hospital c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
