Beth E. Brooks, 72, Topeka, died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at a Topeka care facility.
She was born Nov. 2, 1942, at Topeka, the daughter of Amos and Dorothy Elkinton Hibbs. She graduated from Valley Falls High School.
Beth was a homemaker. She enjoyed being the family organizer and was intimately involved with all the activities of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had worked as a teller and bookkeeper at the First National Bank in Topeka.
She married David Brooks, Aug. 24, 1969, at Valley Falls.
Survivors include her husband, Dave, of the home; two daughters, Kim (Rick) Bolz, Denison, and Katy Brooks (Derek Shuman), Bryson City, N.C.; three granddaughters, Whitney (Brian) Coleman, Makenzie Bolz (Dominic Carson), and Hayden (Matthew) Hernandez; five great-grandchildren; a brother Kerry (Roxy) Hibbs, Austin, TX; and a sister, Karen (Roger) Area, Pine Bluff, Ark.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Coal Creek Cemetery, north of Valley Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Falls Alumni Association or to the Valley Falls Athletic Association and sent c/o Mercer Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Valley Falls, KS 66088.
