Bessie Earlene Reichart, 90, Meriden, died Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Kelly House of Meriden. She was born January 3, 1934, at Valley Falls, to Earl and Agnes (Seible) Lillie.

Earlene graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1952, and worked many years in the accounting department for Whelan's Lumber in Topeka. She and her husband Roland were car enthusiasts and Earlene enjoyed collecting southwest pottery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland, on December 14, 2010, and her brother Maurice Lillie and sister Louise Asher. Survivors include two nephews Maurice Lillie and Clyde Lillie.

Private inurnment will take place at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls is in charge of arrangements.
