Ben Ames Huey, 78, Valley Falls, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at Valley Health Care Center in Valley Falls.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1935, at Norman, OK, the son of Benjamin and Irene Oakley Huey. He graduated from Norman High School and the University of Oklahoma. He later attended Yale Divinity School.
Ben served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne in the US Army. He had lived in Valley Falls since 1987.
Survivors include a cousin, Phyllis Sims Selig, Topeka.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery in Topeka.
