Ashley Brooke Reichart, 41, of Topeka, KS, formerly of Holton, KS, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Stormont Vail Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born April 2, 1984, in Winchester, KS, the daughter of Bill Reichart and Patty Helton.
Ashley graduated from Holton High School in 2002. She earned her Associate's Degree in Human Services from Washburn University and her Paralegal Certificate. During her professional career, she was a paralegal and receptionist for law firms in Topeka and Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ashley lived a big life. She loved to travel and went as far as Australia to visit a college friend. She never met a stranger and was always up for a fun time, especially if it included going out dancing. While her medical condition slowed her down, she still had a zest for life. Her big smile was infectious, and she always gave hugs to everyone she loved. She took her role as Auntie Ash very seriously and always found ways to spoil Henry.
She married Bryan Betts in 2004; they later divorced in 2009.
Survivors include her father, Bill Reichart of Arkansas; sister, Christie Mull (Aaron) of Topeka, KS; two brothers, Dustin Reichart (Michelle) of Topeka, KS, and Brady Keo-Reichart (Lynette) of Horton, KS; nieces and nephews Henry, Judah, Taya, and Ksana; friend Kathleen Tangari of Topeka, KS, and numerous family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patty Helton; grandparents, Joan Reichart and Eugene and Barbara Helton.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Town and Country Christian Church in Topeka. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is assisting the family. Gifts in memory of Ashley will be gratefully applied toward funeral expenses c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
