Ardith G. Barnard, 91, New Waterford, OH, formerly of Denison, KS, died Tuesday July 23, 2013, at her home.
She was born on Feb. 11, 1922, at Rutledge, MO, the daughter of Jason P. and Leta Harned Ewing. She was a member of the First Christian Church at Fowler, CO.
Ardith married Donald W. Barnard on Feb. 9, 1940, at Fowler, CO. They owned and operated a dairy farm in that area. Donald died on April 27, 2003. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Delbert Ewing, Jim Ewing and Wendel Ewing, and two sisters, Ann Largent and Irene Lewis.
Survivors include a son, James Barnard, Eads, CO; a daughter, Jan Blasingame, New Waterford, OH; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
No services are scheduled at this time. Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls is in charge of arrangements.
