Anna Elizabeth Carson Hay, 93 of Sabetha formerly of Wetmore, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at a Topeka hospital. Anna was born on February 24, 1917 in Netawaka, KS. She was the daughter of John Carl and Mary Jane Goldsberry Carson.
Anna graduated from Netawaka High School in 1935. She was a homemaker. She attended the United Methodist Church and was a former member of United Methodist Women.
Anna married Glenn Edwin Hay in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1960. Anna was also preceded by a sister, Mary Jo Bolia and her brothers, Jack Wesley Carson and Lowell Francis Carson. Anna is survived by her son, Michael (Patricia) Hay of Mesa, AZ; her daughter, Barbara Jean Thomas of Mesa, AZ; her brother, Robert C. (June) Carson of Wetmore; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Wetmore United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
