Amy Marie Plankinton, 43, of Holton, KS, passed away on Monday April 1st, 2024 at her home. Amy was born in Topeka, KS, on August 4th, 1980 to Jerry Keith Trautloff and Susan Marie Larson.

Amy graduated from Hiawatha High School in 1999. Amy did online college at Bryan University becoming a Medical Office Assist. Amy was a former member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha.

Amy worked at NEKAP in Holton as an assistant teacher before getting a job at the Holton Community Hospital where she did registration until the time of her passing.

Amy was married to Russell Lorrence Plankinton on March 15th, 2000.

Amy is survived by her mom and best friend, Susan Larson of Holton, KS, her three sons who were her world, Justin, Cody and Michael of the home, and her Boston Terrier, Gunner. Brother, Shawn & wife Misty Trautloff of Horton, KS. Nieces, Cora Kohl of Norfolk, NE, Chelsey Trautloff of Kansas City, MO. Nephew, Jerry & wife Allie Trautloff of Hutchison, KS. Great nieces, Jesika and Kimberlyn Kohl and great nephews, Tanner Trautloff and one on the way. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Amy is preceded in death by her father, Jerry, maternal grandparents, Uncles Johnny, Clifford and Jim.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Family asks memorials be sent to Mercer Funeral Home P.O. Box 270 Holton, KS 66436 to help with funeral expenses. Burial will be at a later date.
