Amy M. Gilleece Cummings, 31, Valley Falls, died unexpectedly, Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at St. Francis Health Center in Topeka.

She was born on July 6, 1981, the daughter of Delbert R. Gilleece. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 2000. She was a member of the Valley Falls Christian Church and the Valley Falls Saddle Club.

Amy worked for the last ten years as an Administrative Assistant at the Kansas Department of Revenue in Topeka. She had been a member of Valley Victors and Prosperity 4-H Clubs and was later a volunteer for the Prosperity 4-H Club.

She married Marvin H. Cummings on Dec. 1, 2007, at Valley Falls. She was preceded in death by an uncle, Eldon "Buck" Gilleece, on March 26, 2002, and great-grandparents, LaVerne "Pop" and Loreen "Grandma" Hayden.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin, and three sons, Jordan, Henry and Michael Cummings, all of the home; her father, Delbert Gilleece, Valley Falls; her sister, Kelly (Jason) Heinen and their son, Alucard, all of Topeka; and her paternal grandparents, Veryle and Martha Gilleece, Valley Falls.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Valley Falls Christian Church. Burial will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.
