Obituary

Alice Irene Robbins, 63, of Holton passed away January 18, 2011 at Hiawatha Community Hospital. She was born January 11, 1948 in Holton, KS the daughter of James and Irene Hollister Heiniger.
She attended Havensville schools until it closed and moved to Soldier; she graduated from Soldier High School. She worked for A & W and Judy's Coach House both in Holton; she was a Certified Nurse's Aide for Merry Manor in Holton and Valley Health Center in Valley Falls; she was a buffet attendant for Sac and Fox Casino and a snack server and gift shop attendant for Golden Eagle Casino.
Alice married Jimmy Allen Robbins on January 21, 1977 in Holton. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Cox of Hiawatha; a son, James Robbins of Denison; a sister, Betsy Smith of Havensville; a brother, Fred Stoldt of Chanute and a grandson, Avery Robbins. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, James Minter.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Memorials may be given to the Alice I. Robbins Memorial Fund c/o Mercer Funeral Home P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
