Obituary

Albert Ronald Schuh, 91, of Hoyt, KS passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at his home. He was born January 1, 1924 in Strasbourg Saskatchewan, Canada the son of Carl and Elsie Henrietta (Ochler) Schuh.

Albert attended Waterville High School until he was drafted into the military as a junior. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Machinist's Mate, Second Class aboard the USS The Sullivans DD537.

He had lived in the Hoyt community since 2006 and most of his life in San Diego, CA. Albert was a supervisor for Rohr Industry, Inc. in Chula Vista, CA retiring after 38 years. He was a member of the Hoyt United Methodist Church.

Albert married Betty Brown-Lynch on May 9, 1987 in San Diego, CA. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a son Jon Schuh of Mayetta, KS; a daughter, Susan Richardson of Mayetta, KS; a sister, Marjorie Fisher of Waterville, KS; a brother, Glennes Schuh of Blue Rapids, KS; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by a step-son, Dan Weltch; an infant sister, Barbara Ann Schuh and 4 brothers, Carl, Walt, Arnold and Ronald Schuh.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Hoyt United Methodist Church. Burial with military honors will follow in the Riverside Cemetery at Waterville. Family will greet friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
