Alan H. Schlodder, 64, of Holton died March 31, 2014 in a farming accident at his home.

He was born August 18, 1949 in Holton the son of John and Delores (Kling) Schlodder. Alan graduated from Holton High School in 1967 and later attended Topeka Technical College. He was a farmer/stockman and had worked at Payless Shoe Source from 1998-2005. He was a member of First Christian Church and was presently attending First United Methodist Church where he had served as a board member. He was also a board member of ASCS and Farm Bureau.

On June 30, 1978 Alan married Connie Campbell in Holton, she survives of the home. Other survivors include: his mother, Delores Schlodder of Holton, KS; his sons, Kyle Schlodder (Crystal), Johnathan Schlodder (Kristel) and James Schlodder all of Holton, KS; his sister, Carol Voigts of Hiawatha, KS; his brother Tim Schlodder (Nancy) of Holton, KS and his six grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Abigail, Tristan, Carter, Mickenzie and Breckon. Alan was preceded in death by his father, John Schlodder.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Alan Schlodder Farm Safety Memorial Fund (to help with injured farmers and promote farm safety in the community) Contributions may be sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
